Dr. Stewart Cohen began his association with UBC in 1995 to explore the relationship between human induced climate change and long term sustainability. This experiment of having an Environment Canada scientist residing on campus for nearly 17 years produced some important learning moments. Please join us as Dr. Cohen reflects on these highlights and talks about the evolving role for adaptation research in enabling dialogue and decision making in response to climate change. Dr. Stewart J. Cohen is senior researcher with the Climate Research Division of Environment Canada, and an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Forest Resources Management, at the University of British Columbia (UBC). His research interests are in climate change impacts and adaptation through shared learning between researchers and practitioners.
